How to file a Complaint in Consumer Court in India

Many time in our daily life we are cheated by Shop Keepers, Banks, Insurance etc.etc.
But either we fight with them or we don't raise our voice thinking what we can do.
But our Government has given us the right and power to drag them to consumer court and if they found guilty they have to pay the fine or give back your money.

But many of us don't know how? Where?

Its very easy! Just remember few things about it.

Who can file a complaint and What are the issues to consider when filing a complaint?

A) Any person who can be termed as a consumer under the Act can make a complaint. The following are the persons who can file a complaint under the Act :

* a consumer; or

* any voluntary consumer association registered under the Companies Act, 1956 or under any other law for the time being in force, or

* the Central Government or any State Government,

* one or more consumers, where there are numerous consumers having the same interest.

Issues to consider when filing a Consumer complaint

You would have to check where the jurisdiction would lie and then ascertain the value of the claim. You will have to file your complaint depending upon the amount of money or compensation you want from the opposite party for the deficient service he has provided you or for the defective product that you have been sold. It is important to note that most Judges in these courts will be able to tell if you are unnecessarily filing a complaint & are just trying to make a quick buck.

How to do it?

1.First buy a copy of the Consumer Protection Act. The format for filing a Complaint is given at the back. It is quite simple.
2. Read Sec.2 and ascertain under what sub section your complaint comes under eg. deficiency of service, unfair trade practice, restrictive trade practice etc.
3. Draft your Complaint in simple, succinct terms stating the facts along with documentation in support.
4. You will need to file it in 3 originals for the Forum, 1 for service to each opposite party and obviously 1 for yourself.
5. Better to visit the District Forum having jurisdiction in your area to find out about the fees which must be paid by DD.
6. Visit ncdrc.nic.in for more info.
7. It is quite a simple process which does not need a lawyer unless you feel you require one. In metro cities it may take at least 2 years for a decision so be prepared for usual delays.

Good Luck and All the best !

What is Google Cloud Print and How Does Google Cloud Print Work?

In the world of Google Cloud Print, you can print anything, from any device, to any cloud-connected printer.
When you print through Google Cloud Print, your file is securely sent to your printer over the web. Because it’s the web, Google Cloud Print works whether you’re in the same room as your printer, or on another continent. It also doesn’t matter whether you’re on a phone, a traditional desktop, or anything in between (like a tablet).

www.google.com/cloudprint

Why Google Cloud Print?
As we’ve moved towards ever more powerful cloud-based applications and web-connected mobile devices, we’ve come to expect the same capabilities from them that we’ve taken for granted on our PCs. For many, printing is near the top of that list.

Convenient
With Cloud Ready printers, the Google Cloud Print experience is ready right out of the box. Cloud Ready printers register themselves directly with the Google Cloud Print service over your home or office’s wireless network, so they’re always available. And because they’re always connected to the web, they can keep their drivers and firmware up to date without requiring your intervention. Google Cloud Print also works with conventional non-cloud printers, so you can get started today with any printer you already own.

Safe
Google Cloud Print takes the security of your files very seriously. Documents are transferred over a secure HTTPS web connection. After a job is completed, the associated document is deleted from our servers. In addition, you can delete jobs and their history at any time through the Google Cloud Print management page. To learn more about how Google Cloud Print ensures your privacy, see here.

For Friends Too
Google Cloud Print allows you to share printers with friends, family, or coworkers as easily as you would share a Google Doc file - perfect for visiting guests looking to print a flight boarding pass. From the Google Cloud Print management page, it only takes a single click to share printers that you own with trusted individuals. You can also track print jobs on your shared printers, and modify or revoke sharing rights at any time. To learn more about sharing printers, see here.

Chromebook Ready
Google Cloud Print is the standard printing technology used by ChromeOS on Chromebooks. Your Chromebook and the web live hand in hand and, for that reason, it didn’t feel right tying you down with local printer software. If you own a Chromebook, you can print any web page directly by hitting Ctrl + P, or you can print from within your web apps by looking for the “Print with Google Cloud Print” button - just make sure you’ve set up a printer first.

Enterprise Ready
Google Cloud Print is used internally by Google on over a thousand printers. It can scale to meet your organization’s needs, and can either complement or replace your existing printing infrastructure. Google Cloud Print makes life easier for both system administrators and users.

Sync OneNote 2010 to Office Live or SkyDrive for Editing Anywhere

Do you enjoy the rich feature set of OneNote but prefer Evernote’s online syncing?  Here’s how you can get the best of both worlds with OneNote 2010 and the free Office Web Apps.

If need to take notes, create outlines, or store random things from your work and life, OneNote is a great tool that’s been part of Office since 2003.  OneNote is one of the least-known applications in the Office suite today, but is now included in all editions of Office 2010 so it’s available to more users than before.  Additionally, anyone with internet access can use the free OneNote Web App in Office Online.  Let’s look at how you can combine these offerings together so you can access your important notes from anywhere and collaborate with colleagues as well.

Getting Started

Office 2010 is designed around integration with the Office Web Apps, and OneNote seems to be the most integrated part.  In fact, when you create a new notebook in OneNote 2010, the default option is to create a Web notebook.
Add a name to the new notebook, and then if you haven’t integrated Office with your Live ID yet, click Sign In.

Enter your Windows Live ID email address and password, and click Ok.

After a few moments, you’ll see the folders from your SkyDrive and Office online account.  Select the folder you want to save the notebook in, and then click Create Notebook.  Select a private folder if you only want to access it yourself, or select a shared folder to share it with your friends or colleagues.

OneNote will now create the new notebook and connect to it online.

After a few moments, the notebook will open in OneNote.  You’ll be prompted to email a link to the notebook to someone, but if you created the notebook just for yourself, click No, Thanks.
Now, everything you enter in this notebook will be automatically synced with your Office Online account so you can access the notes from anywhere.  You can save any information you want in OneNote, and know it’ll always be accessible.  Note that synced notebooks have a globe icon on the notebook, showing that they’re saved online.

Sync Existing Notebooks

You can save an exiting notebook to the web as well.  Open the file menu, click the Share on Web link under the notebook you want to sync.  This will let you save the notebook online as above.

If the notebook was created in an older version of OneNote, you may need to convert it to 2010 format first.  Click the Upgrade button to begin the process.

Click Convert to 2010 in the dialog box that appears, then repeat the steps above to save it online.

OneNote and the Cloud

Once your notebook is synced, you can access it from your Office Online account.  Here you can view or edit your notes directly in your browser, even if you’re on a computer that doesn’t have OneNote installed.

If you’d like to open an online notebook in OneNote 2010, click the Open in OneNote button in the online editor.  Confirm that you want to open the document, and then after a few moments the notebook will download and open in OneNote.

The OneNote Web App allows you to simultaneously with other users, and this works with shared notebooks in OneNote 2010 on your desktop as well.  This is one area OneNote 2010 really shines.  Here we’re editing the same shared OneNote notebook in OneNote 2010 and in the OneNote Web App, each logged in with a different Live ID.  Whether you’re across the room or across the globe, this is a great way to collaborate with colleagues and friends.

Conclusion

OneNote 2010 is a great collaboration tool when combined with the Office Web Apps.  Whether you’re trying to keep up with the random things you find online or organize your notes for a research project, you can feel safe knowing that you’ll always be able to access your notes offline or online.

How to Install multiple Sky drive apps on your-my desktop

The short answer is "no, you can’t", but the longer answer is, “there is a way”.

If you have two Microsoft accounts (Windows Live IDs), you have a SkyDrive for each. The SkyDrive app on the desktop makes managing the files and folders in the SkyDrive as easy as any other folder. So you might want to have access to both right on your desktop.

You cannot install the SkyDrive app multiple times on the desktop, that simply does not work. There is a work-around, however, and once established, works just as you expect – two folders on the desktop, each accessing its own SkyDrive. Not only that, both get synchronized automatically.

Here is the how to install two separate SkyDrive folders on your desktop. Assumed here is that the computer is running Windows 7.

  1. Create a user account on your computer for the second Microsoft account. In this article I will call the original user “user 1” and new user “user 2” and the SkyDrive belonging to that user SkyDrive 2. User 2 can be a “Standard user” (and really should be).
  2. Switch to user 2. Start > power ?> Switch user
  3. Start Internet Explorer, sign in with the user 2 credentials. Click SkyDrive in top menu.
  4. Click Get SkyDrive apps (navigation pane, bottom). Follow through and download and install the SkyDrive app.
  5. Switch back to user 1.
  6. Open Windows Explorer. Navigate to Local Disk > Users > user 2. This is the default location where the local SkyDrive folder is located.
  7. Right-click on the SkyDrive folder listing. Click on Send to in the drop-down menu and click Desktop (create shortcut).
  8. That’s it. You now have a desktop shortcut to SkyDrive 2, the one for user 2.
Note that I did not ask you to log out either user. So long as both users are logged in on your computer the synchronizing of the SkyDrive folders will proceed for both. Keep in mind that downloading and especially uploading of files takes considerable time as determined by your Internet connection.

Both folders will be accessible, of course, at all times, including when the Internet connection is not available. Synchronization will resume when the Internet connection is reestablished.

We have already informed you about the new Facebook Launcher which will turn your smartphone to a Facebook-oriented device but all of the Android handsets are not eligible for this new makeover as one of the Social networking giant Facebook Authority has officially restricted this new invention to only 5 high-end smartphones available in the market as of now named HTC One X, HTC One X+, HTC First, HTC One, Samsung Galaxy S3 and the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphones. We are getting mixed reaction from the Facebook addicts all over the world and we can understand their agony, still if you are able to download Facebook Home launcher apk from any unknown source you still need to know the procedure to install this launcher successfully on your incompatible Android devices.

For all of our fans & followers, we are elaborately discussing the procedure beneath and we hope this will help you to configure your device properly to taste the essence of new Facebook Home Launcher. Well, this guide will surely inspire you and firstly we’d like to thank Android developer Paul O’Brien of Modaco, for his strains that made possible to bring Facebook Home available to all Android devices and the best thing is, you do not have to root your devices to give Facebook Home a try and those folks who have rooted their devices already, this will work for them also. Most importantly, before beginning the procedure, it is mandatory to have minimum Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS installed into you devices.

Note: If you need to root your device, do it at your own risk as casual approach can cause permanent damage to the OS of your device and can brick your device. We never encourage the users to root their devices for using unauthorized applications.

To install Facebook Home on your Android smartphone, you need to do first

Update your device to Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or higher.
Uninstall the Facebook app and Facebook Messenger app if already installed on your device.
If your device has Facebook and Facebook Messenger applications factory installed then you must root your device in order to uninstall them from your device.
Afterwards, on your device go to Settings > then Security > and under Device administration, check the box beside of “Unknown Sources”.

After doing all these pre-configuration, simply do the followings

  • Download Facebook application (com.facebook.katana.modaco.apk) by Modaco from here.
  • Download Facebook Messenger application (com.facebook.orca.modaco.apk) by Modaco from here.
  • Download patched Facebook Home application (com.facebook.home.modaco.apk) from here.

You can directly download the above applications on your device or you can download those onto your PC or Laptop and after that you can copy them from the source and paste them on your Android device’s internal or external memory. After following all the steps mentioned above successfully, you need to go to the file manager to locate the files.

Now follow these installation steps carefully to install Facebook Home on your device successfully.

After spotting the required three apk files on your device, you need to install Facebook application (com.facebook.katana.modaco.apk) first.

  • Afterwards, select the Facebook Messenger application (com.facebook.orca.modaco.apk) to install it.
  • Then, click on the Facebook Home application (com.facebook.home.modaco.apk) to install that finally.
  • After successful installation of those three applications, you will discover three new icons appear on your device’s Apps list named “Facebook”, “Home” and “Messenger”.

  • At this time, open the Facebook application by clicking on that and when prompted enter your credentials and log in.
  • After successful log into your Facebook account, tap the “Menu” icon located at the top and go to Accounts >then App Settings > and check the box which says “Enable Facebook Home”.

  • Now, a prompt notification will appear on the screen asking you to complete action; just select “Home” and tap on “Always”.

Done! You have successfully integrated Facebook Home onto your Android device. Just keep your patience for few seconds to load the Facebook Launcher up and when it completes you will have a new look & feel appeal of your device with a completely new UI.

You can now enjoy your own new personal Facebook smartphone anywhere with always connected features to your favorite social networking life of Facebook. You will also able to play with the new Chat Heads feature at the time of chatting with your friends on Facebook.

We have successfully tested the above method on Micromax Canvas 2 A110 powered by Android v4.1 Jelly Bean OS and it worked perfectly. You just need to follow the above steps carefully in order to install Facebook Home successfully on your own device. Do not attempt any other means to install those above downloaded files as doing such can also damage the OS of your device.
